A Very Happy Quarantine Birthday at Home

Hey friends!  Last weekend I turned 32 and had such a sweet day spending it at home with my husband.  It landed on Memorial day this year, and while we had a fun outing with friends wine walking through our local vineyards on Sunday, I wasn’t really expecting much for my actual birthday.  I mean, usually we celebrate it by spending a week in Mykonos – so the fact that we were “stuck at home” without availability to travel anywhere wasn’t getting me very excited.  But, spending it at home this year with Dave really was so sweet!

I told Dave I wanted balloons and pretty flowers and he surely delivered!! 😀 What started out as a little cloudy day turned into a picture perfect, sunny day filled with puffy white clouds.  I didn’t really want to plan anything besides relaxing at home and of course planning the day around awesome food 😉 .  For dinner David made me a Moroccan chicken tagine dish with couscous, and a hummingbird cake for dessert!  He has turned into quite the quarantine chef and I am not mad about that!

Overall I felt very loved and just, HAPPY! I definitely felt like one lucky lady to have him by my side.  This was my 8th birthday I’ve spent with Dave, it’s crazy to think about!

I recently found a new-to-me clothing company called Karavan clothing, and they feel like my long lost sister!  Their pieces are soo FUN, and I adore this bold jumper!  The company is from Athens so it makes so much sense their clothing is full of happy, bold colors and prints.  If you’re in the Schengen zone, shipping is cheap and fast which is a nice bonus!

And because no birthday is complete until you blow out your candles 😉  Thanks Dave for a most delicious hummingbird cake and little birthday celebration!

xx
