I always love decorating my dining table with the seasons, but fall and winter have me decorating it the best! I wanted to share how I make my fall tablescape in case anyone else wants some ideas for the upcoming holidays, or every day!
Every fall I love to pick up gourds from the market or grocery store to add to my table. The more color, the better! I also have a few colored corn stalks mixed in. Arrange them spread out along the center of the table. A burgundy-red candle holder is in the center of the table surrounded by a wreath of orange berries and pinecones.
The fall season is when it starts to get darker earlier, so I load the table up with candles galore. On the outsides I have two beautiful crystal candlesticks from Tiffanys that we got as a wedding present, and found two shorter glass candlesticks from Nanu-nana. Then closer to the center I have a bunch of mercury glass tea lights scattered around that add so much ambiance! Almost every night at dinner I turn off the lights and light all of our candles. It makes for such a cozy, intimate dinner!
A few weeks ago I was at the weekly farmers and flower market downtown and bought a bunch of eucalyptus. I had it in a vase for about a week but then decided to dry it and add it to my table! I have always loved using eucalyptus on a table and I think it turned out perfectly. In Europe you can pick some up at your local flower market, or in the States I believe you can get a bunch from Trader Joes.
Lastly, my tablecloth is seriously one of my favorite things I own 😂. It is from Beauvillé, a linen tablecloth company from Ribeauvillé, Alsace, France. It is insanely gorgeous in person and I use it year round. I like that it works for both spring/summer with all of the flowers, pinks, and creams, but the deeper maroon and plum colors make it work for the fall as well. I have always had a thing for linens (I don’t know if this is normal or not! 🙂 ) and Beauvillé is my absolute favorite.
Here’s to cozy fall evenings!
