Guide to Mykonos

Hey friends!! It’s been a while but I have lots to share 🙂 . I hope you’ve been well through the spring season!  Spring here in Germany is always very slow to turn from winter, which is why I was so excited to finally get back to one of my favorite locals, Mykonos Greece to celebrate my birthday in style! This was our third trip to Mykonos!  Dave and I have spent my 25th, 28th, and now 31st birthdays there.  If you’re living in Europe and want beach weather at the end of May, Greece really is your best bet.  […]

My Favorite Charleston Restaurants

Charleston is no doubt a foodie heaven, which is one of the (many) reasons it takes the cake for my favorite city in the US… and tied with Paris as my favorite in the world. 😉  With absolutely delicious, local restaurants everywhere you turn, sunshine and salty breezes, pastel buildings and palm trees, a happening downtown and three distinct beach towns, Charleston really has my heart! If you didn’t know,  we lived in Charleston before moving to Stuttgart.  We recently spent a week back in the Holy City so I figured I’d round up my favorite restaurants for y’all.  There […]

Late Summer Getaway to Villefranche-Sur-Mer

We took a late summer getaway to our favorite spot in the French Riviera, Villefranche-Sur-Mer.  Just one town east from popular Nice, this small town has it all: a great pebble beach, azure waters, colorful pastel buildings lining the sea in front of rocky cliffs, fabulous food, and charm exuding from every corner.  When we had a few days off at the end of summer, there was only one place we knew we wanted to be: We discovered VSM last year, using Nice as a home base and each day I planned for us to explore a different town by train.  […]

Bastille Day in Paris

We had an epic Paris weekend recently celebrating Bastille Day on Saturday and Sunday France played in the World Cup championship to beat Croatia and become Champions du Monde! Paris is always magical but you guys… this weekend was epic!!! Bastille Day in France is 14 July and since this year it fell on a Saturday, celebrating it in Paris was a must-do for me! I had our trip booked about a year out 🙂 and it did not disappoint. If you can get to France for 14 July, do it! Paris has a spectacular fireworks show behind the Eiffel […]

What to Wear to Tomorrowland

I’m explaining what I wore to Tomorrowland 2018!  Compared to the States, Europe is much more relaxed in festival outfits which I enjoy – no pressure to wear anything crazy, but if you want to elevate your look you totally can.  My number one tip is to wear what you’ll be comfortable in!  My number two tip is to plan your outfits ahead of time so you’re stress free in the festival, and can focus on having fun and feeling beautiful. Day 1: Thursday – Travel Day, Check in to Dreamville and the Gathering Party I kept this outfit simple […]

You Know You’ve Been to Tomorrowland When

Another magical Tomorrowland has come to a close, and I can’t help but post a few things that only the lucky 200,000 yearly People of Tomorrow will recognize! 1. You get to see the biggest DJs in the world and experience new ones, back to back to back over three and a half days! The music at Tomorrowland covers all types of EDM. This year we saw Hardwell, Guetta, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, Solomon, Pete Tong, Kölsch, Kungs, Steve Angelo, Nicki Romero, Kshmr, Netsky, Frankyeffe and many more! 2. You and your tent neighbors all speak […]

Exploring Ibiza Town

If you’re in the White Isle and need a break from the sun and beaches or the weather isn’t perfect, head on over to Ibiza town for a fun afternoon of exploring!  It is a picture perfect hilltop town with narrow, windy cobblestone roads, white houses with colorful shutters, and a castle on top. Crossover into the historic old town via drawbridge into the walled town. We spent our last afternoon exploring the narrow paths, popping in and out of cute boho shops, and admiring the colorful town.  Ibiza is covered in gorgeous fuschia flowers everywhere, making for even more pops of […]

Ibiza Birthday Part Two: Beaches and Clubs

Ibiza Beaches After the birthday celebrations we had plenty of beach time in Ibiza.  Throughout the week we spent our days at our local beach Playa d’en Bossa in the south, another southern beach ses Salines, Cala Comte, my very favorite beach in the north-west, and Cala Benirrás in the north. While we still had sunshine, this year the weather at the end of May wasn’t perfect beach weather – the mornings were usually cloudy or overcast but it’d clear away by the afternoon.  I think typically late May and June is fine for the beach here, and the locals […]
